At the intersection of industrial pressure and digital madness, Biopunk – the new track by Hydratek – is born. It’s not just another entry into the world of Hard Techno, it’s a collision of genres, moods and tempos. There is no place for softness here. Only cold, algorithms and sound stripped down to metal. Hydratek takes techno as a foundation and builds a cyberpunk heart into it.

The beginning is a straight 4/4 kick, hard, mechanical, as if coming off a factory press. No intros. No warm lamplight sound. Next, the “husky synths” come into play. They sound like a distorted signal through a broken interface. Frequencies squeeze, cut, scratch. Neon noise, glitch and digital garbage fold into a clear structure.
Toward the middle, there’s a twist. Dense d’n’b flies in, scathing, with acceleration, as if the whole system is starting to overheat. It’s not just a genre twist – it’s a blow to comfort. Overdriven, but within the plan.
The vocals are a separate point. Not a human being. AI. Cold and confident. “Feel the power. Enter. Be.” – a looped command that’s hard to disengage from. Almost like a mantra, only cybernetic.
From a DJ’s perspective, the material isn’t universal. But at the peak moment of a DJ set or as a final play – it can be powerful. Especially at underground stages where the audience is into it.
