In the stream of fresh releases at the intersection of minimal and deep house you can find more and more often works where form is more important than content. But sometimes there are tracks that are not in a hurry to stand out, but just do their job – confidently, competently and to the point. One of them is “Control” by Turkish producer Alp Kargoren.

The entrance is soft but confident: it’s like you’re already inside the set, not at the beginning. Drum is dry, clear, and in its place. Bass – dense, but not suffocating, keeps the rhythm and adds weight to the body.
Further on, it’s more interesting. The lead moves in waves: it fades out a bit, then pulls in again. Twilight synth loops are dosed, creating that very dip viscosity, but without overload. Everything sounds clean, the mix is neat, and the details don’t climb on top of each other.
Transitions are minimal, without showiness. But groovy. The track works as an instrument, but it doesn’t lose its character. It drags with its mood. The energy is not aggressive, but positive. Restrained and tangible. It is suitable both for early set and as a bundle. After “Control” it’s easy to build up in any direction – up, to pump, or down, to deep.
