Panfil & Rubh – I Like

There are no outright “wobbles” here, typical for most commercial TechHouse tracks. It sounds on the minimum of elements, but each sound is calibrated to the micron. Panfil & Rubh strive to maintain a minimalistic sound, working through dense layers and micro details to create their own signature. In this respect, “I Like” is not a track for the mainstream crowd, but rather for connoisseurs who appreciate the subtle work with rhythm and texture.

Panfil & Rubh – Flexin’

“Flexin’” is a more assertive track where the duo has added more dynamics and weight. Here you can already feel a more aggressive approach in percussion: the hats sound sharper and the drumming is tighter, creating a harder and more springy groove. Unlike “I Like”, the bass here doesn’t just emphasize the beat, but sets its direction, pushing the track forward. “Flexin’” is for peak moments on the dance floor. Mastering and production focused on sound density and pressure, so that the track perfectly “fills” the system in the club.

Panfil & Rubh’s single “I Like” is generally in the style of TechHouse and Minimal with an emphasis on tight, yet minimalistic production. Both tracks have their own twist: “I Like” is a more refined groove with a minimalistic approach, while “Flexin’” is a track with an aggressive push. Backed by the likes of Marco Carola and Jamie Jones, this release shows that Panfil & Rubh are well on their way to forming their own recognizable sound.
