The second half of “Kelon” is a true repository of dynamics. The sequencing perfectly complements the first half of the track, giving it a new energy but skillfully maintaining the basic mood. Mosoo shows his talent in creating a dense soundscape that engulfs the listener.
Being from Antwerp, it is obvious that Mosoo finds inspiration in the Afro-house tradition. “Kelon” really stands out for its magic – mesmerizing chords and a beautiful percussion ensemble that creates an atmosphere reminiscent of the charm of Tulum.
However, despite all the positives, the track is not without some predictability. Some transitions and sections could have been more innovative to add an extra layer of interest to the track.
“Kelon” is definitely a piece for sophisticated DJs and connoisseurs of organic and Afro-house, but also inevitably evokes a desire to hear more bold experimentation in the future by Mosoo.
