Production is on the level. The drum sounds tight, the characteristic groove keeps the rhythm in tension. Sub-bass is glued to the kick in such a way that it gives a powerful foundation, but doesn’t climb forward. The percussion is clean, spread out across the panorama, creating space and dynamics. Working with reverb is especially noticeable – the synths fly wide, but stay in balance.
Synthesizers are the main feature of the track. The filter automation works competently, opening at the right moment and adding expression. However, the structure of the track could have been more extended. Perhaps, an extended version would have allowed to reveal its potential better.
In general, “Obsession” is a strong Tech House action with powerful energy. Great option for the peak moment of the set. Other tracks of the compilation are also worth attention, but this one is definitely worth adding to your playlist.
